School Content:
Math- We will take the Unit 2 math test on Tuesday, so Monday will be a day for review. On Wednesday we begin Unit 3 and review multiplication as well as solve "What's my Rule?" problems.
Writing- We are published authors!! Your child has either just finished or is almost finished publishing their first piece of writing- a personal narrative. They have worked hard on these and it's amazing to see how much they have grown as writers since the first day of school.
Reading- In reading this week, we focus on implied main idea. We use the details as clues to determine what the implied main idea is.
Social Studies- We completed our group posters on the Texas regions and the students will present them on Monday. They will be given a quiz on Texas regions, climate, and weather on Thursday. As always, the test is open book. After that we begin learning about the specific tribes in Texas.
Science- Last week we began learning about weathering and erosion. We continue learning about that and also learn about the components of rocks and minerals and the rock cycle. We have Science Lab on Monday dealing with the ocean floor.
